The Deluca Dog and Friends Story

Following in the footsteps of my heritage I’m proud to say I’m a fourth generation baker… but it’s with a bit of a twist. I was always the “kid in the kitchen”, but I was the kid creating baked goods by reinterpreting family recipes into dog friendly wholesome treats for our family and friend’s dogs.

I’ve always found it to be both challenging and fun to make really tasty looking baked goods from dog appropriate, rather simple, “old-fashioned” ingredients I’d find in the cupboard and farmers market.

As an adult, I’ve become known as a dog treat specialist who’s committed to formulating dog products that look like human treats but meet the stringent requirements of being wholesome and nutritious.

By creating DeLuca Dog and Friends™, I’ve been able to share my passion of spending quality time with family and friends and creating fresh, straight from the oven, wholesome baked goods for dogs.

DeLuca Dog and Friends dough has the baking aroma and look of traditional “people” baked goods but is specifically created for a dog’s palate. All our recipes are formulated to be beneficial for the wellbeing of our special member(s) of the family.

What’s so great about DeLuca Dog and Friends dough is that you can really use your imagination and easily spoon & bake a whole variety of fun and wholesome baked goods for dogs…Everything from cookies, to cupcakes, to so much more. You may also notice that we are strongly connected to fundraising programs. We at DeLuca Dog and Friends feel that, at the end of the day, the best bits of life are truly centered on the support and relationships we have with family, friends and communities. I believe dogs innately know this and give their unconditional loyalty and love as gentle reminders.

The Life and Times of Deluca Dog and Friends
Four Year Old, Senior Vice Presidents

Gracie and Margaret came to the home of their new Mom and Dad (known in the people world as Judith and Greg) on an early spring day. They were six and five months old and were a bit wary of the great big world that perhaps brought difficult challenges to them in their first few months. Their zest for life and enormous hearts in their little puppy bodies brought nothing but joy, comfort and happiness in their new home.

Gracie Delilah quickly received her name because she is so graceful in her disposition yet she has a very distinct twinkle when she wiggles to and fro. And well, Margaret Plum instantly became a Margaret because it was only befitting that her sturdy determined little stockpot of a Scottish personality could only be matched to a name like Margaret. And Plum is short for Plum Butter, which is short for Plum Butter Bottom because she has the cutest little bottom you ever did see.

As a handful of Birthdays keep passing Gracie and Margaret continue their unwavering devotion to the fresh baked goods of DeLuca Dog and Friends. In fact, no mater the hour, or day, they are forever available to give their extremely honest taste testing opinions and new recipe ideas. They even have a vast network of friends, who Judith and Greg happily welcome, to volunteer as taste testers and are invaluable to the company.

Gracie and Margaret also understand the value of balancing work and play and know exactly when to tell everyone its time for a well needed break to play ball.

In recognition to all their hard work and dedication it only seemed appropriate that they, not only have a lifetime supply of homemade treats, but receive the titles of senior vice presidents.
