Makes 4 Apple Pie Cookies
Ingredients
- 4 Heaping Tablespoons of DELUCA DOG AND FRIENDS™ ALL NATURAL OATS & CHEDDAR SPOON & BAKE DOUGH FOR DOGS
- 1/2 Cup Of Diced Apples (Half Of One Medium-Sized Apple) Cored, Peeled (Omitting All Seeds) And Diced Into Small Bite-Sized Pieces
- 2 Teaspoons Of Molasses
Directions
- Thaw Spoon & Bake dough.
- Preheat oven to 325ºF.
- Place a heaping tablespoon of dough for each cookie onto baking sheet and flatten down (approximately 3 inches round and a 1/4 inches high).
- Press center of the cookie towards the edges to create a shallow well and a rim around the cookie, resembling a mini pie crust.
- Wash apple and slice in half.
- Peel and core the half of the apple to be used for the topping. Be sure to remove all the seeds as they are toxic to dogs. (Apple seeds contain cyanogenic acids which are toxic to people and dogs. Children and dogs are more likely to suffer from these toxins than adults.)
- Dice the half of the apple to be used for the topping into small bite size pieces and place in a bowl.
- Mix molasses and diced apples together until the apple pieces are coated.
- Place one heaping tablespoon of the apple mixture into the center of each cookie (resembling mini apple pies).
- Bake 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool cookies on wire rack before treating.
- Store cookies in the refrigerator.
