Easter Parade - Cookie Cutter Treats

“Hippidy Hoppidy Easter’s On It’s Way!” These cheerful cookies are perfect treats for your dog’s Easter Basket. They are also great fun to give as springtime gifts to your family and friends’ dogs.

Because these baked goods are wonderfully fresh, please store in the refrigerator and give as treats within 5 days. Cookies can be frozen and thawed as desired.

Ingredients

  • DELUCA DOG AND FRIENDS™ ALL NATURAL OATS & CHEDDAR SPOON & BAKE DOUGH FOR DOGS AND/OR DELUCA DOG AND FRIENDS™ CLASSIC PEANUT BUTTER SPOON & BAKE DOUGH FOR DOGS

  • Dog-Friendly Ingredients for Decorations:
    Corn—Fresh, Canned Or Frozen
Fresh Carrots—Cut And Slice Into Desired Shapes

Baking Directions

  1. Thaw the spoon & bake dough until it is firm but chilled. (Peanut Butter dough needs to be very cold when you are working with it, as it becomes sticky as it warms.) It is best to roll out cookies in small batches. Keep additional dough chilled in refrigerator.

  2. Preheat the oven to 325º.

  3. Sprinkle rolling surface with flour and rub flour onto the rolling pin to prevent the dough from sticking. Add more flour as needed to prevent sticking.

  4. Roll out dough evenly to maintain a uniform thickness of approximately 1/4 inch to ensure even baking.

  5. Cut out cookies with spring time themed cookie cutters. For best results dip cookie cutter into flour and shake off excess before each cut.

  6. Place cookies onto baking sheet.

  7. Decorate by placing the vegetables onto the cookies. To prevent the vegetables from over drying, lightly dab them with oil or honey.

  8. Bake for approximately 5–8 minutes until the edges of the cookies are light brown.

  9. Remove cookies from baking sheet and let cool.
When finished place all unused dough back in the freezer for future use.
